This book was wrote by a friend of mine Richard Bartram and I will start off by saying that this book is full of nothing but great original ideas! The book has some 30 or 40 effects with slieght of hand and that use gimmicks. All of the gaffs in the book are described in great detail with illistrations by Richard himself. Mystification has a theme built around the writings of Edgar Allan Poe and it adds to the unique feel the book has.there is everything from coin assemblies to the original floating pen known as "Pen Hoax".This book is for the magician who enjoys magic at its finest and which is to nothing but originality.
For the magicians who already own this book what do you think?

Hello, I was just reading "Close-up of the ***ed" the other day and wondered what happen to Richard, where's he at today? His address in the book is in the Huntington Wv area. Do you know if he is still in the area?

Thanks
Joe

Oops, I was thinking of another book, Haunted Magic, which is the book that Ian recommended. I do have Mystification too and it is very good. One thing I learned from the book that I've used quite often is a technique which apparently spins out a card from the middle of the deck in a flourishy fashion. Looks great and it's dead easy.
