I am making a flash gun and I can't get the glow plug to get hot. How do I hook it up so I can get it to work? PM me if you want.

Glow plugs need to have the proper voltage to operate. If your voltage is too low, the plug will just get warm. Too high and it will blow like an electrical fuse.

There are generally 2 common types available 1.5v and 3v
so first of all make sure which ones you have and that you are applying the right voltage. One contact goes with the "protuding leg" and the other with the upper metal part of the body. + or - does not make any difference. There are easy connector kits out there but I never managed to come across one. |

This reminds me of my younger days with model engines (for 'control line planes' and similar) Try model shops for glow plugs and connectors
