Hello again,
Yet another round of applause goes out to Tim Clothier at Splashes Creative Services in Las Vegas. He just completed another illusion for us and it's on its way to Reno as we speak. He has done amazing work for our show. Here are some pictures of the latest illusion! It's a macaw to girl cage, designed by myself and the mechanics were all figured out by Tim. It's also another example of how powder coating makes the illusion look great. http://www.davewomach.com/birdtogirl.htm (Please let me know if you're tired of seeing these posts, and I will stop.) Enjoy. Dave

Likewise... I think we as magcians/performers need to see illusions that aren't like the "everyday-norm". I'm sure your pictures have inspired a lot of us start to think "outside of the box". Look at how much the powder-coating changed the face of your "Shadows" illusion! I'm sure there are several magi on here who are wonderng how many of their illusions or simple props they can powder-coat now... just to renew the beauty of an old piece.
Thanks for sharing with all of us and I look forward to seeing more in the future! Bryan Gilles |

My show opens like this...
Curtains open to reveal the cage, sitting away from all curtains or other means of getting someone into the prop. A macaw is released from the back of the theatre. The bird lands in the cage, and the door shuts automatically. A curtain is released which falls down just far enough to cover the cage, while leaving space to see underneith it. Within about 1 second the curtain falls and reveals a girl filling the cage completely. The cage is only 24 inches, inside diameter, so the girl fills it COMPLETELY. She then gets out, and my bird act begins... Dave PS - Glad you guys are liking the posts!

That looks like a fantastic illusion, and really shows how good Tim is, but then he is from over here in England and doing us proud.
Good look with the show |
