Who is this Dominique? Please link me to a post on this person- I gotta know why you would store these rare cards in a basement! They should be in a vault! Just curious but would you Café members mind if a re-print had the same back design and a different stock? Is it the stock and finish or the rare back design? And chime in any time Asher, ha ha!

I wonder why no magic company has produced with the USSPC the same back design on tally-ho card stock. There must be a legal reason.

On March 15, 2010 Lee Asher sold 72 decks of Jerry's Nuggets for a total of $15,775. Magicians will buy anything.

Lee Asher used to date Dominique Duvivier's Daughter, Alexandra for years. That's probably where he's getting his decks from. He's very close to the Duviviers.

$200 for a deck of cards that is artificially price inflated by some bozo sitting on a stockpile.
Amazing what some people fall for. Easy remedy - don't buy them!!!! as the rabbit says... Silly Magicians - Nuggets are for Kids!

After some careful research I have discovered that this often quoted figure of 40,000 is simply not factual. At most, it was only 14,000 decks. The person who made the purchase was French magician Dominique Duvivier. I have corresponded personally with him about this, and consulted several other first-hand sources. Read the full story here: The Case of the Missing 40,000 Jerry Nugget Decks: A Detective Story https://playingcarddecks.com/blogs/all-i......ve-story On the other hand, Duvivier clearly does have enough Jerry's Nugget decks to play with them in his bath! |
