Anyone have any quick comments on what books they're looking forward to for the rest of 2006?

The new Kaps book. Also the remaining 2 Christian Fechtner Robert-Houdin translated books from Mike Caveney.

In addition to the Kaps book I'm greatly looking forward to the Vernon Touch, and also to volume one of the english translation of Magic Christian's Hofzinser trilogy.

Hey Peo,
Congrats on the milestone!

I'd love to do buy the Vernon book. In fact, I went to the Genii site to do just that. However, when I go to the Kaufman site, in order to order the book, you must first enter your personal info (including credit card info) on a "non-https" site. You then supposedly immediately get transferred onto an https site but I'm afraid to have my credit card info floating around out there even for an instant on a "non-https" site. Oh well.

How about the new Ted Karmilovich book? That should be here soon...

Richard Kaufman's long awaited sequal "Mr. Jenning Takes It Easy".
The second book in the Larry Jennings triology.
The first book was "Jennings '67", written in 1997.
According to Richard in his colume in the April issue of Genii the book will be "...between 300 and 400 pages, and it will revolutionize the basic way in which many magicians handle the deck of cards."

There isn't a big, anticipated book that is coming up is it??

2 years ago, Tamariz's Mnemonica was hugely anticipated....
last year, arguably reprints of Strong Magic, and also Dear Mr Fantasy

Speaking of Tamariz, there's been a lot of talk about the upcoming reprints of The Magic Way and The Five Points In Magic. It would be nice to see these sometime this year (especially The Magic Way... the one I don't already have Smile).

and...Harry Lorayne is working on Best of Friends III (but I haven't heard about the expected release date).

Mike (Turk),
If you're concerned about the on-line security protocol when ordering the Vernon book you can also order by phone.

Regarding ordering The Vernon Touch via the Genii/Kaufman website. I spoke with Richard who asked me to tell you that the entire process is, in fact, secure. However, if you're worried, you can always call or fax the Genii office. Thanks.

I saw a copy of Roy Benson by Starlight--absolutely beautiful. Eight hundred pages and literally thousands of photos. This is what I would save up my money for.
