Here's what I'm working on at the moment.

A lit match is passed from one hand to the other where the fire is taken off the match (one hand holds the burnt match the other holds the fire).

You then bring the match to the hand again, where you replace the fire onto the match.

You show both hands front and back to where the spectator sees only one match.

My method as of yet, is not safe and is not marketable.

Has this been done? Is there something out there already to accomplish this?

I have seen it on e-bay before...At least something similar.
Looked it up and it does not give a brand name of any sort, but here it is...

I highly recommend the book Magician’s Arsenal Professional Tricks Of The Trade by Lee Scott. The book has a part about flame-lifting methods which would help you in your effect. It mainly shows three methods for lifting the flame off of a candle but they can be applied to your application also.JS
