Pants! Me too!

And even though it seems Tony and I have both originated the idea of wearing Pants independently of one another...I am still going to credit him as a co-creator of my pants wearing.

I once asked the same questions to a great magician I admire. His answer was to the point : "you ask the wrong questions."
What he meant was that I shouldn't think about what effects I want to do nor about the "must haves" in terms of methodology or secret devices.
It had to be about the spectator. About what I could do for them. And from that point the other questions could arise...
The big problem is that - once you accept that starting point - these questions can only be answered by yourself or people who know you personally.

Im seriously not being a smart ass here but... if you never spend any time on thinking about effects, must have methodology or secret devices .... then, what DO you have to offer a spectator other than the same ole tricks and your charming personality?

You're a smart ass ! Smile
But, oh, smart one... I didn't say that I don't spend time thinking about effects, must have devices etc.
I just said that this isn't my starting point. I learned to start with WHAT I want to say, what my message is. From that core, I selected effects that fit with it. It's only in the third phase of development that methods, devices etc. become important... Once that you know what you'll use them for.
You could of course start with studying every method, buying every gimmick and lots of guys do so.
To each his own, I guess.
As for "same ol' tricks"... If they fit in with my premise, why not ? If they don't fit in, I don't use them. Simple as that.
As for my "charming personality" (smart ass ! Smile ), I'll let my lovely audiences decide about that.

Cheers Ringo!

I really did misunderstand the initial post. Thanks for clearing it up.

As for 'Your charming personality' I was referring to performers in general... not you specifically Smile
However, in light of your last post...you do indeed have a charming personality my fellow smart ass Smile

Thanks again for the clarification mate.

An act!!!

And what every you need to deliver that act. Beyond that, who cares?

Why do we worry about having to do an act with nothing? I don't get it.

Everyday I cary my own multipurpose Mentalism Wallet

Finally After trying many times and re-creating few models
I finally I came up with my last and final search for Multipurpose Wallet

-Holds 9 Real Credit Card
-Holds a pen (no one in this earth carry Sharpie marker everywhere, except nerds and people who works at Starbucks)
-Carries 20 Real bills
-Can be used as an everyday wallet
-Hold up to 20 Name Card or index card (Center Tear, Billet Switching, etc…)
-Peek using what I believe is a NEW principle
-it had the Sight Unseen Principle (Peek, double writing, load or steal
predicton)
-the wallet hold 72 outs
-can be used as switching wallet, almost like himber but not using Himber principle

its not a Shamless plug since I'm not going to market this

for my formal two Hours Close Up Work, I carry TWO of this Wallet...Electric Touch and bussiness cards/Index Cards...and able to do Four to Six Set of Close Up Act

depends on my preparation
