Make sure you use a glass, coffee cup, ash tray or something that you cannot see through.
Place a coin on the table in plain view and make sure everyone sees you cover the coin with the glass, etc. Bet that you can get the coin out from under the glass without even touching the glass. Once the bet is accepted, have a duplicate coin already palmed and do a reaching grab towards the cup as you bring the palmed coin into view (like coin from behind the ear). Ask the person to pay up. They of course will think that you have tricked them and they will want to pick up the glass to confirm the coin is really gone. As soon as they pick up the glass, you pick up the coin from the table. Remind them that you did not have to touch the glass to get the coin. Ask them again to pay up. Have fun, Kipp Sherry |
