Hey All,
Can anyone advise on the difference between the Kabuki Streamers and Dave Cresey Throw streamers? Kabukis are almost impossible to find and with rehearsals, I am considering purchasing the Cresey in place of them. Any info appreciated! Tony |

Cresey Streamers are good, Kabuki's are like Cresey Streamers on Steroids!

Yes, make sure you send him an e-mail. You will kick yourself when he tells you the secret and you'll go, "why didn't I think of that?" Trust me!

I agree, I just got Derek's PM about these today and his method is really awesome! I tried making them right away and I've already made a few and am making more. They are incredibly cheap and fast to make!

Can anyone help? I got Derek's PM and started to make a few, but because I was cutting them in half it was kind of squeezing them all flat and compressing the paper together. I tried to sort it out but they just won't unravel, they just break! lol. Any ideas?
Best wishes, Luke

There is a way to make these on your own?

I still can't do it! lol. I have tried so much that I never want to see a toilet roll again! Am I missing something? I am sure I am doing it right. Who out there has successfully made some? Could they pm me with their methods?

Cresey streamers are actually a step above some other streamers.
Once, my dealer ran out of Cresey, and ordered another kind because it came with an extra streamer in each pack. They were shorter and the colors weren't as appealing. The Cresey streamers are pretty effective. I am very curious to know about the Kabuki Streamers. Benjamin Corey |

Ive met Dave Cresey at a convention. I didn't talk to him much but he did perform a card trick for me and the man's knowledge is extensive. But if you ever walk by his booth without streamers flying everywhere and CO2 cannons going off, somethings off. His life is streamers. Great quality, so go for Cresey.

Also I can't get the streamers down. I thought I had the concept but when I went to throw them it didn't work. If someone could upload a picture of the finished product it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe Cresey just sold his business - I hope the quality remains to the same standards - I only use Cresey coils in my show!
May the magic be with you!

Kabuki Streamers are the best, problem is, they are priced very high as well. I got an idea from a friend of mine, I use three or four Cresey throw streames and put them in a PVC cap. Bring their tails out and tie them to the side of the cap. If needed you can rubberband toilet paper around the outside, so when you're ready just puncture with your thumb throw and hold onto the cap. It works great. You don't get quite the distance as the Kabukis, but just as much or more coverage. They look awesome.

Wanlu,
I'm interested in learning more about your Pro Throw Streamers. Based on the photos, they're much different from Cresey and even Kabuki throw streamers. I'm not sure of how Seo Streamers are made and operated but I assume your product is even different from Seo's products. I'm curious as to the construction of Pro Throw Streamers. How are the streamer coils packaged in the bundle and what is the required handling to release those streamer coils? Is the handling similar to any other streamer product currently on the market. I think some insight into Pro Throw Streamers construction and operation may help us magiccafe members understand the benefits of using Pro Throw Streamers over other streamer products. Thanks for your help! |

I like derek's words.
Cresey by far...is good. In europe the mouth coils cost about 20 euros for a pack of ten. |
