Man, I was horrible at that. I got 78%. But that was only because once the states were filling up, it was easy to match it up. I bet I would rate 50% if the state lines were not so obvious.

I agree with Brian about the easy finds after the first few were done. I ended up with 88% 23 mile average error and 303 seconds...

I like the 303 part because it reminds me of that part in pi..."...94895493038196..." (?)

Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.

Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair
-can ne'er come down again.

88%. A few weeks ago I worked on them with my daughters for school.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

LOL! I wonder if they have one for European countries? Americans would probably do very badly on that!!

88% and 404 seconds (I got my paycheck whilst doing this!) 24 average mile error...way off on North Dakota.
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

That's really good, no matter where you're from. There are plenty of Americans that would do much worse.

90%, 333 seconds, avg 17 mile error. Correcting for Mercator errors and hand/eye/mouse coordination apparently had some deleterious effect on my time -- back at the Institute, I used to get the wood cut-outs in place a LOT faster, even with the jacket straps tightened! Smile

This was like any type of puzzle....it's easiest when the "borders" are done first. It's a bit difficult to know exactly where Nebraska is if it's the first state you have to locate.
