Man, I was horrible at that. I got 78%. But that was only because once the states were filling up, it was easy to match it up. I bet I would rate 50% if the state lines were not so obvious.

I agree with Brian about the easy finds after the first few were done. I ended up with 88% 23 mile average error and 303 seconds...
I like the 303 part because it reminds me of that part in pi..."...94895493038196..." (?) |

Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

88%. A few weeks ago I worked on them with my daughters for school.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

88% and 404 seconds (I got my paycheck whilst doing this!) 24 average mile error...way off on North Dakota.
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

90%, 333 seconds, avg 17 mile error. Correcting for Mercator errors and hand/eye/mouse coordination apparently had some deleterious effect on my time -- back at the Institute, I used to get the wood cut-outs in place a LOT faster, even with the jacket straps tightened!

This was like any type of puzzle....it's easiest when the "borders" are done first. It's a bit difficult to know exactly where Nebraska is if it's the first state you have to locate.
