Greetings All!

First of all, Happy December everybody!

Secondly, I just wanted to put this post out here as a topic for discussion for those of you who have worked at theme parks, or would like to.
What do I have to do to get booked into a park without a big name backer like Paul Osborne?
I have Wayne Wissner's book Theme Park Magic, but the resources are a little bit dated.
Have any of you done this? If so, what type of show do they want, how much are they looking to pay ballpark, and in general what knowlege can you share with me that will keep me from making the same mistakes that you may have made?

I have a small family oriented stage show with 2 or 3 major stage illusions, but I don't know how to tweak it to market it's theme park potential.
Please help.

Magically Yours,

Adam Christopher

Although also a little dated, there is a book titled, "Straight Talk About Theme Park Magic" by Doug Anderson.

It's a hard back book and has some ideas in it that are still very much applicable in today's theme park market.

It is a little hard to find (out of print I believe) but well worth the original price of $75.00 for anyone who is seriously interested in this performing venue.

You might contact Doug directly at to see if he has any copies available.
