You know the one! Its the sweeping orchestra number that they use in adverts like when a fat guy falls inlove with a burger - they play the footage in slow motion and have this music over it. The music this overblown, dramatic love theme used in many TV shows , adverts and movies.
I need it for a really cheesey scene. If you know what I'm talking about- please pm with the name of the track. many thanks in advance! MAC |

I think you might be refering to Love is A Many Splendored Thing which is available on the Grease soundtrack. I'm just too lazy to go pick up the CD to find out the artist for you.

Um its not the one.but thanks for your help. The one I'm looking for is this orchestra piece (no singing) sounds very epic, like gone with the wind or something.
It is usually used in parody scenes . I think Copperfield ued something similar whe he did ring to hour-glass.. any ideas folks? |

Could it be the theme for Love Story (the movie)? That is often used.
I love this game. Do I win a prize if I get it? This actually happens to me a lot, being a DJ "Do you have the song that goes bleep bleep dit dat?" Yes I do. It'll be after the song that goes dat dit boom bleep. |

I'm glad you love this game ..its not from love story..
the track is not piano based- its with strings / viola etc. its very epic! IT starts with the sweep of a harp and goes into a lush string section. the last time I heard it was on th JOE SCHMO SHOW2 - when one guy(apparently gay) was looking at the other- they played the scene in slow motion with the edges of the picture in a white vignette. keep trying - the prize is my thanks! for now! |

"Clair de Lune" by Claude Debussy maybe? I have heard a harp/violin version and a piano version, so it is a possibility. Then again, it is a little down-tempo so maybe not.

Nope! it aint chariots of fire..thats the olympic music!
darn it!this is such popular theme - I wish I could plug a cord into my mind and allow you to listen to the music. Its definately movie score - somethign overblown that they would play when the leading man sweeps the girl off her feet with a passionate kiss. please don't give up guys! |

Perhaps it is "in a godda davida" by the Iron Butterfly. When ever we play that LP I sweep my wife off her feet, and she plants a big hot wet one my mouth, but maybe that's just us old folk.

MacGuyver, I'm sure I know the tune you're thinking of, it hasn't been named here yet. Sadly, I can't sing it through text, and I have no idea what the name of it is. I do go to an art school though, which is chock full of classical musicians. I'll see if I can't try to nail it down.

I asked 2 of my music pals, they both said it's from Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet. Hopefully, if my brain went to the same "love theme" you'll be set. What do I win if it's right?
