I know how the effect is accomplished but I would like to know for those who do the trick is the crinkling of the bill in the begining neccecary or is it just part of the patter?

Well...without trying to expose too much, the crinkling of the bill helps hide its condition later in the effect. If you know how the effect works, you will know what I mean.

I would suggest you to go through the demo of the trick again and again and before you know it, you will have hit upon the solution of the trick, I'm sure!

The crumpling of the note is just to wade off the dogs off the scent...

David Harkey has a different way of hiding the evidence for this effect (which is a collaberation between he and Sankey) which is found in "Simply Harkey" and is titled "East Meets West". Also, Eric anderson has a nice touch that can be found on the tape "Harkey on Video"

Thanks for ur help guys I know what you mean now I tried it without the crumpling and well if you know the trick ull know what I mean when I say it doesn't work
