Hey guys,
for all you classic forcers out there in magic land do you prefer to have the forced card above the pinky or below?

I force from the bottom of the deck just out of habit and because I like the easier glimpse...(but I can do it from top too).
1/2 through the force the pinky is only resting on the card rather than holding a break, and having it on bottom makes that simplier. |

Personally I CF from the top (bottom on occasion) with my break above the forced card. For myself it works better because I can FEEL where the card is and do it not looking.
Both ways work well, which is best for YOU? -J

Get the classic force dvd by paul green.
I thought I cared about this as well. Once I got the DVD, I almost immediately evolved to where it doesn't even matter. You really don't even hold a break, let alone worry about how you hold one. Ahhhhhhhh..... And to think I could have avoided all that trouble by getting the DVD earlier. Thanks Paul!

In case the force card is on top before cutting the deck to bring it to middle, I make break above the force card. In case the force card is on bottom before cutting the deck, I make break below the force card. Sometimes, I have break 3 or 4 cards above the force card if the situation is such. Sometimes, I don't have any break when I force the card by secret counting.

Top card force. Alwayss. THere is no specific reason for it.. just a personal preference. One logical reason that I can give is that I rarely do the bottom glimpse or turn the deck sideways (for glimpse) or rotate the deck 180 degrees at all but I riffle the ends you pthe deck a lot, out of habit and to "fit my performing persona lol"
lets just say.... its a habit. but yes. top card glimpse 100% of the time. |
