In one show Sankey tips a sophisticated card location technique that is used in some fairly advanced effects.

Over the course of this series, about 50% of what Sankey has tipped has consisted of effects and techniques far in excess of linking rubber bands and wobbly pencils.

That 50% consisted of either the actual advanced effect itself, or the principal behind such effects.

This series exposes magic to the layman far in excess of "simple kids magic".

Which trick or episode are you referring to?

The reason I ask is that I don't consider glancing at the bottom of the deck before presenting a fanned deck to a participant to be an advanced card location technique. I knew this one at age 8 (Spellz target demographic) and didn't take up magic until I was 33.

Thanks,

Oh no....he taught:

The Floating Dinner Roll
The Rising Card w/ Little Finger
Divided Attention
The rubber band Snapper principle with a Bic pen cap.

Dear God! We are all ruined! What next, the Floating Styrofoam Cup? No, he wouldn't dare to expose that!
-A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic.
-It is easier to fight for one's principles than to live up to them.
-The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

I agree! I do respect all the opinions stated on this thread, but having seen all episodes of this show before reading this thread, it is an astounding thread to read.

If you demonstrate tricks from this show for your friends and family, you are very likely to get the response, "Are you eight years old?" It really, really is basic stuff.

He taught Divided Attention?!!?!??

Seriously, I perform this!

Can someone recommend me a better alternative?

P.S.
I'd pay for some private lessons by Sankey. Now, I'll probably be paying for a new book... Smile

EDIT:
NEVERMIND, found some/better.

This show is no biggie its a great tool to introduce children to the art of magic and there is nothing more exposed here than in a library. I just saw this show Today and decided to search about it to see if anyone knew about it because even though it was for kids I enjoyed it. It is available for free here on Cablevision, optimum TV, Io or whatever they call it these days under on demand/free on demand/lifeskool/magic. Also theres tons of other cool stuff as music, excersize, cooking, this free on demand service they are offering is neat if anyone hasn't checked it out yet.

Chris
