I am sorry if this has been asked before but I am looking to replace my Pump O from T Myers. I would like another floor pump that will blow up a 260 in one swipe but I would like one that does not have to be oiled. I am tired of my cases getting oil in them. Is there a pump on the market that does not have to be oiled. I saw a pump that was call a mac pump that said it did not have an "O" ring but I wasn't sure if it needed to be oiled.
Thanks for the help. Tim |

I have a Mac pump. I do use silcone spray in it to lube it. However, It is not oily at all. It is a well made unit and a bargin at it's price. No complaints from me.

Hey guys,
I just bought a used Tmyers Pump1. The seller gave me a small jar of the oil he has been using. I have taken it apart and oiled it very well, but it still does not slide smoothly. It is very jerky. Any suggestions? Royston, I wish I had seen the Filbert pump before I purchased this "used" pump1. Thanks, Mike

Mike,
I sold my Pump1 a few years ago to somebody, and couldn't find all the extras to send with it....hence...I still have it, and no pump to go with it. If you need it (it's the bottle of oil, an extra nozzle, a nozzle wrench, extra gaskets), let me know...no charge other than shipping to you. I sure don't need the package. Steve Thomas |

Steve,
That sounds great! I'll PM you about it. Do you know anything I can do about the lack of smoothness? Thanks, Mike

G'day the Filbert Pump is the best floor pump I have ever used. It weighs a few pounds, holds 10+ balloons easily, Looks great, cost only $80, blows a 260Q up in one stroke, I've been using one for 3 years blowing up 10,000's of balloons with no problems.

I have a pump1 and have used it for several years in three countries and on two continents. If you're getting oil on anything, you are using too much lubricant.
A little goes a very long way. When I clean mine (about once every 4 months or after an outdoor gig), I clean the inside thoroughly followed by a very light coat of the lubricant. If you just lube it, you are creating greasy mud which will make it stick and wear out your gaskets as well as scratching the smooth surfaces. **One other very important note on the lubricant** Use only the recommended lubricant. Petroleum based lubes (including vaseline) will break down the PVC (or coating for pump0) and make it stick like crazy. They will essentially ruin your pump whether it's made by T. Myers or anybody else. Take care of your investment and they will last a very long time without problems. Take the cheap way out and you will reap the benefits of your shortsightedness.
