I have no problem with Penguin - but I think its rather funny that many of their instant downloads can be found in Mark Wilson's Complete Course for less than $20!

I agree with almost everyone here. However, Penguin got me started in Magic with their Instant Downloads. Even concidering what "onebark" says, I still don't feel ripped off. Expensive (but still affordable) Instant Downloads are what got me started in magic. So I owe them a lot.
Instant downloads was, for me, a great quick intro to magic. Wouldn't miss it for the world! Jim

Nice to see some Steely Dan fans here. "Nightfly" by Donald Fagen is pretty good too.

Absolutely. Nightfly is fantastic. Kamakiriad was a little too conceptual for my liking. But anything by Donald is worth picking up. He's an artist. A pioneer.

You know what? I just bought Baloon School from them. It's the first thing that I've bought from them in several years. I thought it was well worth the price. A fine DVD with good material.
OK, those lights must have been way too hot because that poor guy was sweating like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs but it was great information. |

I wasnt talking about Jay, I was reffering to the magic shop itself... Jay can do whatever he wants and all the power to him..

I was sort of amazed to see folks defending Penguin in this thread. In my

Many of the so called ethical, or respectable magicians repackage material like crazy. They also put stuff on there DVDs that aren't theres either. I think people just bash penguin because it is an easy shot, and they think it will make them look superior or something.

Some of those who invent things don't do either.
They teach those who are ready to learn and accept that a love of magic is more precious than money. Choose wisely
