Does someone have “Jozo Bozo” DVD in order to give a detail review?
Hank Lee’s Product Description of Jozo Bozo’s DVD sounds good. His Web Site is http://www.jozobozo.com/english/index.html |

Jozo Bozo (Jossip Alajabeg) is an up and coming kidshow superstar. A long time pro in his home country of Croatia and close friend of Terry Herbert and David Kaye.
The DVD is broadcast quality and Jossip's english is very good, although his Croatian is even better. The 2 discs are filled with a fresh and intelligent look at getting the most out of simple props. Living in a country without magic shops has forced him to think and innovate and indeed he has. Jossip is also performing and lecturing at KIDabra this year and planning to introduce several new routines. Robert |

I purchased this dvd from Practical MAgic about 2 months ago - it really is a very practical setup (working from a small briefcase). His techniques of getting maximum effect from simple props is effective and his way of explanation is crystal clear!
Also, Wonder Imagery (and Hank Lee) market his fun effect Mixed Up Birthday which is kind of like a mismade flag effect - but with silks on which have been silkscreened an appropriate birthday message. |

I've had dinner with him, and socialized with him at KIDabra. He is a gem, his DVD are quite good and he does spend a lot of time interacting with the kids.
I am a box/prop magician, where as Jozo Bozo "packs flat and plays big". His greatest gift to the magic community is his recent "Change Bag Magic hat" which is hand made. He sold out of them so quickly at KIDabra, I missed the chance of getting one. Jozo Bozo character is similar to Silly Billy, in that his costume and character is "silly" yet, they differ in performance style and effects. This DVD set would be an asset to children entertainers who constistancy perform for Daycare, preschool, and K-4 graders. As with any DVDs, I judge them based on one major criteria. If I get one routine out of it it was worth the expense. Dennis

I was blown away with Jozo Bozo's show this past Summer at Kidabra! A very talented man that differs greatly from most other performers I've seen. I did buy his 3 DVD set but have yet to spend the time to watch them. If they are anything like his live show, I'm sure they are great. I too did not get a chance to buy one of his hand made change hats, and he says they are very time consuming to make a large enough batch to send to the US for sale. Does anyone know who is carrying them for sale, or should I contact him directly?

Jozo Bozo is the man.
My son is eight and loves magic. He has been exposed to a lot of kid's entertainers and really, some of the best there are at this point. He has NO problem telling me who he thinks is good or bad. When I am watching a DVD he will often sit and watch the performance section with me. He watched the Jozo Bozo video with me and was blown away. He said, "That guy is really, really, good and funny!" He also commented that he liked that he didn't have a bunch of "junk" and just did magic. I remember that comment stuck with me. Kid's of that age equate the magic to the prop. If you have some big widget it is doing the trick and not YOU doing the trick. Which if you think about it is kind of true isn't it? Anyway, Jozo Bozo got the stamp of approval from my kid. In my universe that is saying a lot. I also think the guy is awesome. He knows how to entertain. Best, Dan- "MT is one of the reasons we started this board! A magician who works out of a brief case is my kind of entertainer.

What is the content of the video. I read the description on Hank Lee's site and understand he is an excellent performer based on the above, but what is on his video? Anyone able to share some insight here?
Thanks, John |

A lot of stuff most of us all ready do or have done. Mouth coils, wobbly wand, change bag, and the like. Packs SUPER small and plays like a house on fire. one of my top three DVDs on performing for kids.

There's also a whole section where Jozo uses Silly Billy's expanding wands (the coragated plastic pvc pipes decorated to look like a black wand with white tips.) Jozo uses the standard length ones as well as a tiny one and a super long one. There is a whole routine that goes along that is VERY funny. We saw Jozo live at Kidabra performing to a group of real children, and they went nuts! There is much more on the DVD's than was presented live.
The only thing to be careful of with his DVD's is that he has duplicated them from a computer; Playback from a computer drive seems to work fine, but some DVD to TV players have trouble reading the format of the disks. Jozo cautioned us about this beofre selling the DVDs and suggested people try them on laptops at the convention to make sure before getting home and having problems, unable to send them back to Croatia.

Jozo Bozo will be at "Kidology" in the UK in September doing a lecture, along side the likes of Poz, and the one and only Ali Bongo....Anyone going?
