Im consididering ordering The "Icarus" kit. Is it a good buY? Am I getting something that will be worth the effect?
A friend of mine showed it to me, and told me that he had to tweak with it for about a month, but in the end its worth it. I just want some input from other magicians. Icarus... Is it worth it? |

Do a search...this has been discussed quite a bit...but it seems the overall concensus is yes!

I also looked at it, but was very concerned about angles....
- straight on - 45 degrees - 90 degrees - 180 degrees - 270 degrees - 360 degrees (surrounded) Also, it is not clear if it can be done on a stage where people can see under your feet. It is so hard to determine an effects limitations unless you see it performed live. I have seen effects like these do demos at only the good angles which may be limited?????

Under the feet is absolutely no problem. It does however need to be pretty much straight on.

If that is true, then it is not practical for kid shows, trade shows, etc. etc.
Great for TV and 1 on 1 auditions though

You've hit the mark Expertmagician. It's very much like Criss Angel's levitation but down in reverse (which actually looks more natural and less stiff but slightly harder in a physical sense than Criss'). You could do this for stage though and possible parlour. You'll understand if you've watched the Criss Angel levitation DVD.

Frm my opinion, it is already the best leviation effect on mkt. You can do close up but not surround. This is the same for all other leviation effect anyway.
Stage is OK. You can also use Black (dark?) art to do more amazing floatation if do it on stage. |
