I would like your advice on this guys: I want to get Misled but I saw a cool video for Bic Penetration. From the ad, the bic penetration appears to be different from the pen through anything using ******. Is that true? I want to be sure I'm not buying anything I already have...the ad also says it's examinable? Does that mean a switch is NOT involved? Thanks!

Same method, different pen. So yes a switch would be involved.

Misled is a trifle more "angly" than the gaffed pens, but not too bad.

It also allows a second phase where the pencil "melts" through the bill that can't be duplicated with the "pen through anything" type gaffs.

I don't know why I haven't seen it sooner but I just saw the Perfect Pen by Kennedy...one pen, no switch...beautiful!

The MELTING phase of Misled is worth its weight in gold...however its rare to carry a standard yellow pencil anymore.
Doug Edward's Wonder Penetration (the ORIGINAL version using a standard black bic pen) is great and the gimick can easily be stolen off.
I also have TWO of John Cornelius's "Perfect Pens" (not John Kennedy) due to getting one in a magic lot on an online auction. If anyone is interested I'd be willing to let one go for $30 PP in US. They retail for about $50. Great Prop. I havent seen any of the knock-off versions so I cant comment on those.

Does anyone know which online dealers sell Edward's original Wonder Penetration? I've misplaced mine, which I now realize was a knockoff version, and I'd like to replace it with the original. Thanks.

When I got mine it was actually marketed by Tannen's. They may have it.

Theres another pen or pencil penetration on the market the name escapes me .But it is a wonderful little effect .the bill and or pen can be borrowed ,the bill is folded in half and then a napkin or piece of paper is also folded around the bill. the pen is pushed through the bill and paper. When paper and bill are opened a hole is in the paper and not in the bill..
I have been doing thi lillle gem fo years
and is totally impromtu.

The effect you refer to is marketed by Jay Sankey and uses post it stickers on the bill.

It's called "Dough". Nice effect, but uses an "origami" type principal that doesn't allow for the convincing display you get with "misled" or the Cornelius Pen.
