Anyone know where to get the tooth trick from the special? What other section on the Café would this question be more appropriate for? Thanks.

I strongly suspect he used a stooge....but, I am not sure.
If he can do this effect without assistance, then I will be impressed

I just feel a bite coin effect will be more better, just a stooge!

You can easily do this trick yourself... first you need to find a hot toothless girl, then call a cosmetic dentist and the rest should just fall into place for you.

Toothless girl? All you need is a little tiny dab of ***** on your thumb.
**** on **** off. Remember how fast it all was.

I vote toothless. This was an obvious variation on the ol' coin bite effect using a stooge with modified "flipper/folding" denture and fake blood. The girl's reactions and demeanor did not appear normal to me. Its too obvious.

Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

OK, I am now offering this effect for sale, just let me know and I will "modify" your teeth or an assitants teeth via a hammer... once toothless you are half way home and I will offer this service cheap.
There is no doubt at all that this is simply a hot toothless girl, not a very good actress but hot... and toothless to boot! |

I'm sorry, but as a magician I loved and hated this. First of all spectators who are not magicians will not know of set ups and stooges in this effect (because of the implication of 'live' tv, thank you Mark Wilson, and quit abusing it Mr Criss Angel). But to me, the effect was a little to underplayed by everyone, they just kind of were, "That's cool." and when he tried to do it again they laughed him off like you would a kid who offers to hypnotize you after he made his friend embarass themself. I mean if I wasn't a magician and I saw someone rip out two teeth, then spit them back into place, I would probably scat all over myself, then fall to my knees in worship. O well, can't complain, something to talk about, and as for the, 'Your wrong, and he ain't releasing' quote, lol. That is cute. Reminds me of my uncle who used to smile at me after a locator card effect and tell me that it was real.

I also doubt that even if you could buy this, that many spectators would appreciate you spitting/blowing in their faces. Especially during flu season. Of course unless the multi-millionaire Blaine was doing it...
The great trouble with magicians is the fact that they believe when they have bought a certain trick or piece of apparatus, and know the method or procedure, that they are full-fledged mystifiers. -- Harry Houdini

Is there actually any debate here? Is there a single person on Earth who does not know EXACTLY how this thing was done?
Come on. Fun idea, visual and silly but not much of a mystery. My wife glanced up from reading, saw the effect and immediately said EXACTLY how it was done. I would imagien anyone with a generally operation adult brain would be in the same boat. |

Its too bad that out of all the effects that were filmed for that special, this one made it in...

Hi Nathan...and I can assure you if I thought that WAS how it was done I wouldn't have posted the method! But since it's not being released (Yet) I'll be releasing mine! You will get my initial post (above) without the stars all for just $39.95 and a special demonstration using finger puppets called The Magic Dentist...not a DVD though...a little Flip Book. As a bonus, I'll include the Tooth In Lemon (value $399) trick.

Teevtee, I'm pretty sure there is a single person who doesn't know how it was done, maybe more like 9 million right now. Best trick of the night from the laymens perspective, I was on imdb and it seems many people came there just to ask what the hell had happened with the tooth girl. Comedy.

Well I admit I was being a bit dramatic with my statement but I bet if you took ANY of the people who were foole dby the tooth trick and just sit them down and ask them how they think it may have been done, they would get it. I think most people just don't realize how far magicians will go. They on't think about stooges, especially hot toothless stooges. They don't think about custom made gimmicks and so forth. So to them it seems very obvious and yet they don't believe that someone would go to those lengths just for a trick. I bet if you said to those folks "The way you think it was done is 100% the way it really was done." most would be dead on the money. |

Regardless, it was very effective. People at Lincoln center went nuts when they showed that clip. I loved the insanity of the concept. If you are going to use a stooge, that is the way to do it...over the top.
