I use the simultaneous approach of vanish and reappearance but combine that with some acting and double takes as I show the audience how amazed I am that one coin flew from one hand to another. Sometimes I think we do these effects too fast and rather than mystify the audience we just confuse them. And as we all have been told, Confusion is not Magic. I've used Wilson's method sans gaff and the gaffed version with a Lassen coin and the latter is so much more powerful because the audience sees your hands relaxed and have no clue as to how that coin traveled.
