I know it is a little bit late now, it is already Saturday, but there is much material that can be performed on the radio. I've seen several thread here listing hundreds of effects, a simple search will turn those up. Steve Shaw's (Banacheck) excellent CD set on Radio Magic is a must.

Myself, I'm partial to an effect that Frank Garcia published in SUPER SUBTLE CARD MIRICLES (the green book) and later republished with George Shindler in their card magic book, I think the effect is called the 92% Prediction (I'm not sure of the name, but if you look in those two sources, you will find it).

The presentation is as follows:

I'm going to try one last thing, and cause something to happen at each you your listener's homes.

Mr. Host, please name a value of a card. As what I'm going to do is so difficult, please name just the value, not the suit. A Jack, hmmmm. <PAUSE for a second> Would you name another?

A seven. OK. Now we have two card values, Jack and Seven. What I am going to attempt to do, is manipulate the cards in each of the listerers' homes and place a Jack and Seven right next to each other in the old deck of cards they have tucked away in a drawer. This is exteamley difficult as there are hundreds of thousands of people listening to this show.
<Pause for a moment and appear to concentrate.>

There, it is done. There were more people than I thought, and I did not have much time. For most everyone out there, I have moved the Jack and Seven together in a deck of cards in your home. There are a few that I was working on, but ran out of time, so there might ba a card or two between the Jack and Seven.

If you could, please call into the radio station after you have looked at your cards and let them know what happened. The call in number is ...

This is a great way to end your performance portion as you encourage listeners to call in and report the outcome. If you do get enough call backs, you are almost always going to be asked back on, plus the station will give you further advertising by reporting your results.

I hope you do, it works for me. The presentation is my addition to the effect, it was writen as a one on one effect, but I felt that it would work well with one on many, i.e. radio, television, and now Internet.

Hey Crew,
Just a happy story of the power of radio appearances. I was invited to appear on a morning drive time show of a local station here. I drove out the day before and left an envelope with the secretary. Next morining I bring a paper and (you guessed it!) the headline was predicted inside the envelope.
Heres the good part: after that I was invted to the afternoon drive time show the very next day. For this one I brought an envelope but only predicted a single word choosen from that days paper.
I got a nice spike from those things. don't dismiss the power of these effects over radio. Go get em!!
