Do you have a Holy Grail for your coin magic?
I think I have found mine It is this: To show a handful of coins, nickels, dimes, half dolars, what have you, then to close my hand around them, let the spectator HEAR them clinking in my hand, and then in a split scond, the clinking stops, the hand opens, and right under their noses, the entire group of coins has vanished without a trace, from the spot where they "KNEW" the coins were a moment ago. This is the reason I am seeking out a coin clink device. What is your Holy Grail?

I have seen Bob Fitch do the very thing you describe. He poured a pile of coins into his hand, shook them, you heard them jingle, when he opened his hand, they are gone.
You can see him do something similar with half dollars on the LVMI Live! DVD set. |

There is a couple of old Laurie Ireland tricks that manage something close. And the OLD down's ->Roth->Neighbors->Porper... device can helo
One changes a handful of coins into a half dollar. The other changes a half dollar into a nickle then forty five pennies appear elsewhere. :) Can be found in old magic catalogs. Steve Dusheck has a take on the many->one thing where pennies become dimes.

Hi daffydoug,
I perform this effect quite a bit. I also sell the gimmick to do it. AND you don't have to sign a lease. All the best, Kranzo

Nathan, how easy is it to turn on/off your gimmick?
Always open to options for practical mechanics worth wearing.

I have seen Nate's solution from his lecture, it is not an on/off type gimmick, it is a real vanish of coins poured into his hand. It is not very expensive, and it looks fabulous. I think if I remember correctly, Nate, you used it for a Jumbo coin vanish in your lectures right?

I'm looking for a coin trick that has the impact of the Anniversary Card Trick...
Oh, wait. Never mind. |

Hi Dan,
You've got it! That is exactly the same gimmick! No on and off but you can control the noise. If you squeeze there is noise and if you relax it is gone. Bill...so two borrowed coins. Both signed and they merge together into one? Sounds like a good problem! : ) All the best, Kranzo

Two signed coins?
If you can use those denison dots and Curtis Kam's Quarterback sneak from his "Stuff" notes... you are set to go.

I believe David Acer published a routine in Random Acts that involved 2 borrowed coins being signed one by the magi and one by the spectator. A coins across (a la tenkai pennies) was performed and as the kicker the spectator held his signed coin, the magicians held his signed coin and the magicians coin vanished. When the spectator opened his hand the 2 coins are fused into one with the spectators sig on one side and the performers on the other. As I remember it was a very good routine.

Sure!
Here it is: http://nathankranzo.com/merchandise.html It is under "Utility..." Craig you are right Acer's routine is great! I'm thinking there are lots of ways to tackle this plot and maybe something where they visually merge. Would be cool to have the coin end up a little "off center". All the best, Kranzo

I still think the Holy Grail of coin tricks is Slydini's One Coin Routine. To me, that is real magic.
