Hello
Has a walking thru wall/mirror effect without cover been designed before? Thanks. |

I don't think there is. I have seen a lot of walk through mirror effects that require a cover.
David Copperfield has preformed effects similar to this (That are very simple) that use a cover, but are very visual. |

The one Henning did (I think is was Steinmeyer's) had very minimal cover. The edges of the mirror were never out of sight.
Thanks, Richard |

Luis de Matos did a beautiful routine, beginning with Silk through Mirror and ending with his Walking through a Mirror. This is probably the most beautiful version I have seen. I believe he did it on one of the World's Greatest Magic specials, and I also think he had them for sale at one time.

Here's the one Luis de Matos did: http://www.wellingtonent.com/products/mirpass.html I agree that it's the most beautiful version I've seen, as well. (I wish I could afford one!)

We have one of those Michael, or one similar. Haven't used it yet, I still have to refurb it. It's big though, but it looks nice.

We are working on an illusion with an effect similar to the mirror scene from The First Matrix Film
the only way I can describe it - (although it was not based off of the film, nor resembles it in any way) Will use no covering. No Cloth. What you see is what you get. Will try to report on it when its completed.. So yes. There is a version of the illusion with no covering or cloth... I'm positive there must be others.... Good luck in your search. |

You may think of using fog insted of the regular cover...

Morgan and Mikala do an illusion called Vortex. Although there is cover at first the screen is moved and you can see him half way thru the mirror. Its pretty cool. Jim Passe performs this illusion also under the name Steel Impressions.
heres a link to see pictures of Vortex http://www.magicofmorgan.com/webgallery/......ge12.htm you can also see a video of it in Morgans promo video http://www.magicofmorgan.com |
