What are some good rubber band magic books/DVD's? After perfecting several great rubber band magic tricks like Crazy Man's Hancuffs, I've become very interested.

Dan Harlan has a lot of material out on the subject. Also look for Joe Rindfleish. A quick Café search for either of them will yield some good results.
Danny Garcia also has a nice multi-phase routine on Vol. 1 of his Project DVDs. Kevin

Michael Ammar's DVD "Classic Renditions #2" featuring John Cornelius has some great routines, that are well taught (of course).

Thank you. I've searched all of those suggestions. They look great. Also, who would have a good method for a "Reversed Crazy Man's Hancuffs"? Like linking the rubber bands instead of un-linking them.

Daniel Garcia has a great ring and rubberband routine that I use and also a good effect is a ring traveling up a broken rubberband, not sure where to get it though

Daniel Garcia had his new trick "Greed" on Penguin. Maybe I should check there.
Thank you all for your great help. -Cam

Greed is a multiple bill change, no rubberbands involved.
For Garcia's Rubberband material, check out his Project DVDs, or his lecture notes which are available from lybrary.com Kevin

If you're not alergic to VHS, Harlan has a video called "Band Shark" that I just bought myself. Has several nice items on there. And cheap.

The "Back Together" technique is awesome...It is perfect for those looking for something to accompany CMH, because it is basically the reverse CMH.

Quote: I knew that, I was just thinking that that was one of the tricks he has on the site. Greed looks like a great effect, though.

Cam - Contact The Godfather (Vinny Marini) at vinsmagic@aol.com, PM him on the Café (he's a member) or, better yet, check out his website at:
http://www.vinnymarini.com/ You will likely be interested in his Godfather DVD. Vinny is not only a wealth of information about this type of effect, but he has created some of the most innovative routines I have seen. You won't be disappointed. And, he's one heck of a nice guy. |

This seems very helpful, Sgrossberg. Thank you.
You all have been an ocean of information! -Cam Edit: The rubberband penetration featured on the Godfather DVD looks fantastic. I might really look into this one.

The Joe Rindfleisch "Extreme Rubber Band Magic" DVD is packed full of rubber band tricks. I just watched it the other night and was struck by the sheer volume of tricks he covers. In fact, he has them broken up into "routines", although you could obviously arrange them however you wanted to, and they could still be almost logical. Making them entertaining is up to you. Not everything is great, but most of it is servicable, and there are a few gems...

I go nowhere without rubberbands on my wrist. Here's my typical routine.
-Rubber band up nose -Crazy Man's, I finish by vaishing one and reappearing on my wrist (I think that's Harlan) -Linking Headbands (The Magic of Michael Ammar) -Broken and restored (The Magic of Michael Ammar) -Shrinking/Vanishing Rubberband -Sandwich

I'll bet people love it. --Harlan |

For the record, guys. Please drop Kuda Bux's name from the broken-&-restored rubber band effect. That's SNAP!. My trick, originally in HEX, back in the early sixties. Also in REPUTATION-MAKERS. Martin Gardner was "taken in" by Kuda Bux re: the trick. KUDA had absolutely nothing to do with it, and I have a letter from Martin Gardner admitting that he was taken, apologizing to me, etc. Incidentally, Michael Ammar had nothing to do with it either. Okay? HARRY LORAYNE.

A lot of that stuff was shown to me by the owner of the local shop. Thanks for the credit info Dan!
