To finish my miser's dream routine, I would like to have the bucket magically fill with dollar bills. A person at my magic club reccommended spring bills. What is the best quality of spring bills out there?

Hi Kyle,
I'm not sure the best quality there are, but Fred Kaps ended one of his acts by producing many many spring bills out of his top hat. You might want to look into that performance video. Ben |

I would think the BEST quality would be to take a bundle of nice fresh ones form the bank and spring them up yourself. Either take apart your old flowers, or learn to make the springs form that handy thing laying about the house that no one ever finds when they need it, so they go buy a new one to figure out the drapery size. See! they will never miss the one you took to cut up for your spring bills! I think there was a post in the Howie didits on the making of spring things!

All of the spring bills I've seen look just like fake money. I guess there's a reason for that, but what kind of "magician" would produce fake bills?!?!
Anyway, if you're going to be doing this from stage, I'd say save yourself the trouble and buy them. But, if you're going to be close enough to your audience where they will be able to discern their falsehood, I would make my own from real bills. It's really not that difficult as long as you can find the aforementioned "handy thing."

Thanks for the insight on how to make your own spring bills.
Now if I can only get up to 50 posts so I can view it. Kevin |
