I do an 8 ball billard ball routine. I make my own balls, and I wondered which would look better, all one color, all different colars, or 2 sets of 4 different colors? I am in the procces of making all of them, but what I think looks good isn't always what the spectators thinks looks best. I hope to here a couple of interesting ideals.

I believe your thinking is incorrect. What you see and like is what the audience will like. Perform what you like to do, and present it like you are haveing fun and enjoy and the audience will follow.
There is nothing wrong with putting a color change in the routine if you have one you like to do. Have fun Rob! |

I have colar changes, I ment that at the end if I should have all the balls in may hands one color or many colors. I agree with your thinking to a point, because if I did what I really wanted to do there would be about 50 vanishes(I think they are the funnest part of the routine). I was thinking that ending with all different colar might be to much for the spectators to take in at once. Thanks for your opinions and suggestions.

Why not combine both ideas? I mean finish your routine with all the balls one color - maybe with the 4 ball finale (ie. you display 8 balls, four in each hand). Let this register and take your applause, allowing the audience to think that the effect has finished.
You can then knock their socks off and have the balls change to many different colors - maybe a rainbow from red to violet (with one extra color as we are talking 8 colors, not the 7 colors of the spectrum). This would be another "Wow!" factor after you have actually "finished" your routine. Just a thought! (I hope I explained what I meant to relay - if not just ask me and I will try to explain in more detail!) |

Lee I really like your idea. Now in my opinion that would really be a very different and,as the used to say, boffo ending. It would be a very strong finish because you would actually do magic with your magic, for the lack of a better term.

I also like that idea. I was considering something similar to this, but yours sounds a little better. I will try both an then see which one fits me better. Thanks for the idea.
