I'm thinking of buying this effect but I'd like to adapt it to my persona by making my own cards, rather than the the ones supplied.
So I'd like to know, if I purchase the effect, how difficult will it be for me to use my own cards (probably index card sized or so). In other words can I modify or make "whatever it is" that makes the trick work? Thanks. PS. If it's described in a book or disc that has other effects I might buy that instead of the individual effect. I assume it's not described in "Get Nyman" although I'm probably going to buy it anyway because it's gotten some good reviews.
I'm selling my hardcover autographed limited edition copy of Jerome Finley's "Thought Veil"

It won't be difficult at all for you to make your own cards.
As for your second question, it's not described on "Get Nyman", but I don't know if it's in any of his other publications. Curt |

I am unfamiliar with the effect of Diceman. Can you explain it?
Thanks, Eric |

Eric: A google search for Diceman and Nyman will take you to the ads for this effect.
Rocketeer: The only "difficult" thing about making your own cards for this effect is that they are laminated in plastic. The lamination is, I feel, an important thing that makes the method more deceptive, and maintenance easier. Buy the original, support the inventor. Here in Canada, you can buy card-sized self-sealing plastic laminate from Staples. You don't need any heaters or laminating machines. Just place your finished card in the plastic folder, peel back a paper strip from the adhesive side, press down and you're done. Then you can use scissors to trim the card to the size that you desire. - entity

Maybe a little late to the party, but Tom's hint at self-sealing sheets seems so important to me that I wanted to bring this topic up again; even more as those sheets can be used easily in some many DIY projects and/or customization of effects.
Here's a video demo on how to use it. Enjoy!
