I'm looking to buy magic kits wholesale. I'm not talking about the make them yourself or the "five dollar magic kits." I'm looking for legit magic kits that are professionally packaged.
Thanks, Gideon
You know you are a magician when you have boxes full of lecture notes you have never read, but still are excited about going out and buying more.

If you're looking for give-aways or special gifts for clients, check with Loftus ( http://www.loftus.com ) They have beginners kits that have some good stuff in them. There are 5 or 6 different basic sets and a couple of deluxe sets. They have a reasonable wholesale cost, but I used to sell them for about $15 a piece.
Thanks, Richard |

Fun Inc out of Chicago has some very good beginner's sets that are well priced.

"Eddie's Magic" from Hong Kong manufacture hundreds of props for magic sets. The quality is good, and the price is very low, but the minimum order is something like 5 000 US$ value. Many famous names in magic (in Vegas, on cruises, theme parks, etc.) that have their own souvenir magic sets that are sold after the shows actually sell props made by this company. A great variety of simple, ready to perform beginners' tricks (several hundred products) and the price are a great way for them to attract magicians who want to have their magic kits. A magician has a lot of material to chose from, plus the company designs and manufactures the box with Magician's name and photo on it, provides a customer magician with custom printed illustrated booklets with explanations and illustrations of the tricks they chose for the set and even offer to produce and print a DVD with a customer magician explaining these tricks. I saw several of these sets and they were very nice and I think they would sell well. With their wholesale principle (super large quantity - super low price), every prop included in the set literally costs pennies (they are made in China - that's why, but the quality is very good). They have custom props and can make custom sets for a variety of different occasions (Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc). I personally own their Halloween set which I bought because of the Multiplying Eyeballs trick (Multiplying billiard balls adapted for the Halloween theme which I loved).
The only drawback is that you can't order for less than 5 000 US (which is I think almost a cargo container full of beginers' props). They are simply not interested in smaller orders... I lost the contact with the people from the company that I knew, so don't PM me asking for the contact phone or email. I'm sure you will be able to find it on google (although I suppose that they would have only the website in Cantonese, so you would most probbably have to ask someone who can speak Cantonese to help you with the search). I hope this helps. |
