I do not know "thecardplant", but I did look at his product offerings over the internet...I have not seen the quality in real life.
If I wanted belly strippers, I would go with his 2 deck version, so you can vary which cards you want to strip from performance to performance or from deck to deck. Bear in mind that the 2 deck version I really designed to give you one complete belly stripper deck. You also have MANY more permutations to play with as your needs change. BOTTOM LINE: If you do not have the equipment to make your own Belly or N-Strippers then buying a pre-made deck is your best choice. However, "making your own" is significantly better because you have complete control over how strong or weak the work is put into the cards. You also can train yourself with several decks (strong, medium and light) to be an expert in working with strippers. Another advantage is that you can strip BOTH the wide and narrow edges of the cards to control 2 different sets of cards in the same deck Finally, cost may be an issue...at $30 - $75 per deck you can pay for a belly stripper card cutter OR better yet an N-Stripper Jig pretty quickly. As you can see, I am in favor of buying the equipment to make your own....it tends to be a better long term investment AND it only takes an hour or less to make a deck.

Todd Lassen is now offering Custom Negative Stripper Decks:

I find it interesting that he is selling n-strippers. Since pulling n-strippers is different than pulling regular strippers. I find it difficult to believe that he is tipping the secret behind pulling the n-strippers for $35 when you buy a deck.
I wonder if he is going to the effort to reseal the deck like new ? also one of the things which add to the deception is that n-strippers do take practice to use.

I need to order some USPCC stripper decks, and I noticed that there's a "David Blaine Discovery (Stripper) deck". Does anyone know how it differs?

Magic Geek has wonderfully cut ones.
If you want to see some videos demonstrating the Stripper Deck, this channel has a series on it: http://www.youtube.com/user/ZacharySJohnston/videos God bless, Zachary A. Johnston :bluebikes: |

I always use the stripper called "Original Bicycle Stripper Deck" from Magic Makers. I prefer blue as I feel it draws less attention than other colors. I have handed these decks to the audience post performacnce and noone who is unaware of magic techniques has ever noticed the gaff. They retail about $12.95. Everyones hobbies are different but I do not have enough free time to make a product that I can buy for a few dollars more. by using Bicycle it makes it easy to switch decks throughout a performance from normal to gaff and then back. Most people I know that make their own do it because they enjoy doing it. Most people without a lot of time and experince (not all) will create multiple flaws when cutting - making it easier to spot and poor performance. In general - the only decks I would recommend refurbishing or making yourself (other than collectable decks) are ones that use roughing solution - as it will wear out before the cards do. that's just me though.

"Original bicycle Stripper Deck" is the deck that this guy in this channel uses to perform Stripper Deck effects:
http://www.youtube.com/user/ZacharySJohnston/videos In his description boxes, he also recommends the Stripper Deck from Magic Geek that is $7.50, and he says it works well. (The link to that particular deck is in his description boxes for his Stripper deck series.) http://www.youtube.com/user/ZacharySJohnston/videos God bless, Zachary A. Johnston :bluebikes: |

Pete Biro can set the record straight if I am mistaken.
But I think it was Jay marshal who came up with the super stripper deck. It was corner short/ rounded on opposing diagonal corners. Kotah |

Probably just back design and packaging. The deck is made by USPCC, and their factory strippers are pretty decent. This would just have the Split Spades back design, rather than the typical Rider Back. "The work" should be the same between the Blaine deck and a Bicycle factory stripper.

Super Stripper Deck was described by Jams G. THompson in October 1943 issue of "Linkign RIng".
Jordan's Utility Deck is a kind of devided stack with 26 corner short on lower left and 26 corner short on lower right. Anyway, these decks have no stripping fanction. Hideo Kato |

I have a blue bicycle stripper by royal magic. I am not happy with it. I could have got a bad deck from my local shop because it is curved and the edges very rough.

Does anyone use a stripper deck as their main walk around deck?

I just stumbled over this thread, and I would say that our Phoenix Strippers are the superior strippers out there: produced and punched directly at USPC, with a perfect border all around as the back design was altered as well to match the shape, a well visible one way design on the back (and faces) that will always tell you the orientation of the cards you are holding and the card you are inserting to NEVER EVER struggle again with a Stripper Deck.
Oh, and did I tell you that it is produced in Casino Quality, as all products of Phoenix? Once you have tried them, you do not want to use another one. They now exist in red and blue, as well as Standard Index and the more and more popular Large Index.

I fully concur with Christian. Their Stripper and Svengali Decks are the best out there.
Thanks, hbenod |
