I have two doves in a cage. About a month ago, I took two eggs out of the cage. I now again have two eggs. Does that mean two females? I thought for sure one was a male the way it bobbed up and down and crowed. I had to take one other dove out of the cage because these two were always at each other. In fact the one that bobbed always got some of its feathers taken off by the one I took out of the cage.I figured the one I took out was the dominant male.

What you're seeing is normal. Your doves are going to continue to lay eggs for their lifetime. If you remove the eggs, the time to the next laying will be less. If you are only getting two eggs at a time, then you most likely have a male and female. If they were both females, chances are you will see 3 or 4 eggs. Mated doves almost always lay in two's.
