I wrote a new cowboy poem, but I think it goes over most folks head. Please read it, and let me know if you understand it via pm. Don't post your thoughts here, just post that you read it. I will tell you via pm if you got it right!

I am asking because I may add another line to make it more obvious.

Thanks in advance.

For those few who helped!

Thanks! And below is a revised version.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Cow's a Plenty!

An eastern gent moved way out west,
He'd sold his mansion, deemed the best.
Big an' grand an' so up scaled,
When lookin' at the rest, they all just paled.

He broke the bank when sellin' his place,
An' went lookin' fer some larger space.
Bought him a ranch in no man's land,
An' learnt the workin's or the cow hand.

He sent a letter to his soon-to-be wife,
To come and join his wondrous life.
The homestead stretches far and wide,
With cow's a plenty, ev'n a horse to ride.

'Tis easy to find, jus' west of town,
Here's the name, so write it down!

Diamond "D", Rockin' "R",
Lazy "J", Triple Bar,
Circle "S", Flying "T",
Runnin' "Y", Backwards "B"

Unique it is, like my big ol' hat,
Ain't no one 'round here got a brand like that!
So see you soon, my beautiful dove,
He signed his name and added love.

She rode the coach anxious to see,
Jus' how huge her spread might be,
As it entered her land, she was all smiles,
Realizing how it went of for miles.

But absent was life, the area seemed dead,
Not a goat, not a horse, not ev'n a head.
As they rounded the bend her home could be seen,
A palace, so big, it was fit for a queen.

With a wrap-o-round porch, she was really impressed,
Quite looking forward to that first honored guest.
She was greeted by him and they sat in the shade,
Enjoying the view, sippin' lime-ade.

The conversation was nice, as they both reminisced,
Catching up on things each other missed.
Then the chatter turned to how she'd sustain,
A family and guests out here on the plain.

Where was the livestock of which he had said,
No Angus, no Herford, no Shorthorn Red.
He lowered his head and stared at the ground,
'Tis true, he said, no bovine around.

The brandin' iron glowed red when the fire got hot,
I's proud of it's size, was quite a big shot.
I knew on the plain, our heiffers would thrive,
But none got through the branding alive.

Now don't worry none, we've plenty to eat,
An orchard, a garden, and ev'n some meat.
At supper tonight, we'll eat our last turkey,
The rest of our meals? How 'bout beef jerky?
