Does anyone have contents lists for Sawa's Magic Vol 1 and Show-Time at the Tomfoolery?
Any other comments about the books as well? Thanks, KIMURA |

This book was very underrated and largely ignored when it was first published, thus putting the kibosh on future planned volumes. There was also some question regarding the final selection of material versus what was regarded as Sawa's "A" list material that Kaufman had hoped (but failed) to gain permission to publish. Although my personal preference was for the material of Shigeo Takagi, there is absolutely no question that Dr. Sawa is a remarkably creative thinker, and I wish that there had been enough interest in this series to have encouraged sequal volumes. I understand that a number of additional items that had been planned for inclusion in volume 2 were later published in an issue (or two)of Genii. With today's renewed interest in multi-cultural magic it would be great to see this project, and even the 5 Times 5 series, picked up again. |

Thank you very much! I am glad to hear that the ladybird and piano tricks are in there, they sound interesting.
And I would love to see more editions of 5 x 5. I think people must be nuts not to like the concept. Anyone have the word on The Tomfoolery book? |

Show Time at Tom Foolery was edited by Richard Kaufman, and describes in detail Tom Mullica freaky act (cigarette tricks, eating napkins etc): it' s basically a transcription of the video, where the tricks where not explained. You will definitely need to video to take full advantage of the book

Thank you highmagic.
I searched here at the Café and this book features in some members "Top 5" lists but I was having trouble finding any description of the contents! |
