Anyone read David Ben's new book about Dai Vernon yet? I just got done reading the article in MAGIC Magazine this month and it seems like it's going to be really interesting. I'm way behind in my "stack of magic books to read" but I think I'll put this one near the top. It's being published by Squash which means the quality will probably be good. I've been impressed with their other books. Please let me know if you've heard anything about the content of Dai Vernon: A Biography and if it will be a worthwhile purchase.
Thanks. Michael Mode |

I don't think it has been released...but I could be wrong.. I'm waiting on the Kaufman book including all the Vernon articles from Genii.

I'm also waiting for the release of this book, I think Squash has an AD stating it's going to be late June.
This month's Genii has I think a chapter or so from the book, after reading that I've decided to buy the book immediately when its released!
Nice to meet you

Hello folks,
Unfortunately, the November 1st release date for Volume 2 of Dai Vernon: A Biography is incorrect. I wish it were that way! David is in the process of researching this book. We hope to release the second volume in about two years. Stay tuned by visiting http://www.squashpublishing.com for more information about the Vernon book and other releases. We hope to publish at least one more title this year. Best Regards, Gabe Fajuri Squash Publishing |

This book is very good and should be required reading. It also shows how the thievery we complain about now was alive and well before most of us were even thoughtsin our parents' minds.
Author of Illusions of Influence, a treatise on Equivoque.
PM me for details and availability. |

Today's New York Sun includes an article on magic at Coney Island and includes a nice plug for the Dai Vernon biography.
You can read the article here: http://www.nysun.com/article/37515 The last third of it concerns Vernon and his time at Coney Island. There is much more detail on the subject in the book. Gabe Fajuri Squash Publishing |
