I first saw Al Schneider do the Zombie at the IBM convention in Little Rock Arkansas in 1975. I had never seen ANYONE do it so convincingly. I thought he had some really odd Zombie gimmick. Suffice it to say that I purchased his book. His approach to Zombie was the basis of some of the work that Tommy Wonder did on the effect.
This book has been a "must have" for people who do the Zombie. It has been very difficult to obtain in recent years. Prices around $75 to $100 per copy are not unheard of. Al could have taken the easy way out and used the old book for his new release. He didn't, though. He posed for all new pictures -- more than in the original. He completely re set the type. It is a much better book now. And the nice part -- it's only $20.00. You can order it from Al's web site http://www.worldmagiccenter.com. EVERYONE who does the zombie really needs this book.

Den, The Zombie routine is, in fact, on volume 4 of the “Al Schneider Technique” series. The DVD is about $35.00 from L&L. It contains six (6) of Al’s routines including the Zombie.
The ebook is $20.00, well illustrated, about 116 pages long if printed out (which I did on three-hole paper). I think that the ebook is a great companion to the DVD (or maybe the DVD is a great companion to the ebook). There are some things gone over in a bit more detail in the ebook and there is a section on theory that makes for a nice read. Bill’s summary is spot on. This is a good product and can be had directly from Mr. Schneider. I tend to like to have a book laying open in front of me as I begin to learn a routine, put together a script, and begin mentally blocking it for my use. I refer to the book more often than I do the DVD but then I have both (I have always liked Al’s work and thinking). I don’t have a laptop computer so can’t take my ebooks with me when I travel. I do carry the print version with me to review and study. I guess that it is all about your needs and learning style as to which you prefer. In may case it was not an either-or decision. I got both.
