Why is this called an "Electric" deck?

Maybe because of all the electrifying moves you can do with it?

Because 'deck t$%d together with IT' was too obvious?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

.....which also begs the questions, why is a Pop-Eyed-Popper called what it is?

and why is a Mene-Tekal deck called Mene-Tekal?

Invisible and Nudist were routines, but what are these?

That's the thing...

When you invent something you get to name it...

No accounting for taste, right?

(note the spelling difference. It's Mene Tekel )

Answers.com says this:
Quote:
Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin , in the Bible, the mysterious riddle written by a hand on the wall at Belshazzar's feast. These Aramaic words may be translated literally as, “It has been counted and counted, weighed and divided.” Daniel interpreted this to mean that the king's deeds had been weighed and found deficient and that his kingdom would therefore be divided.

Sounds like a good a name as any for a gimmicked deck. I seem to recall the name was also a mnemonic to remember the setup, but I could be mistaken.

Maybe the deck got shocked in a storm. Well I can make a good cheesy joke everyonce in a while.
