I have this posted in the Tricks and Effects for sale or Trade section. I thought that I might get some more information here. I am looking to purchase just the (Black Hood) to use in conjunction with the S.S. Blindfold. I already have the S.S. Blindfold I just need the Hood. Can someone please advise me where to purchase JUST THE HOOD I do not wish to purchase another blindfold etc. Thank You for your time and any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have SS blinfold why do you want it?

I got mine from the local fabric store. Find a black cotton material that you can see through when you hold it close to your face. A yard of it is plenty. Fold it in half, then in half again. If you can sew with a sewing machine, sew it on the two adjacent sides that leave openings to all four partitions on the "bottom" of the hood. Sew a tape or a piece of rope to two of the partitions so you can tie the hood in place. If you don't sew, you can get the same result with iron-on fabric tape from the same fabric store. You may want to hand sew the rope or tape, however, because that will be the area of stress on the bag. Finally, turn the whole thing inside out to hide the sewn seams. I know why you weant the hood- once the hood is in place, no one can see if the other blindfold is over your eyes or not, and then you can use a real blindfold (and the cotton balls and dough and other stuff)in place of the S.S. blindfold. Drive carefully!

Are you trying to use this with the SS blindfold?
If that is the case why? I have never understood why we need to cover our eyes with 30 different things to prove we cant see. The SS blindfold sells it for you. You don't need to add anything else. Maybe some band aids like Osterlind does but that is really as far as you need to take it. |

Chichi, this is from Brent at the Café.With the hood, you`ll have the oppourtunity to move the blindfold over your eyes after putting the hood on.This will make it MUCh earsier for effects that need full use of the eyes instead of a peek such as blindfold driving.

I know what you are talking about. The SS blindfold was designed for Driving.
This is just me and I could be wrong, but before I knew about blindfolds I saw a magician put on a blindfold and then a hood. With just the blindfold I thought everything was legit. The second he put the bag over his head I knew something fishy was going on. This was long before I even knew one magic trick. That thought will never leave me and I always think that I can not be the only one that thinks this way. |

First Class Magician,
I`m making a few hoods in my house.I have three sewing machines and have scounted a lot of places for the materials.I`m quite impressed with the workmanship and it is darn better than the hood I received from HP(X-Ray Hood). This has no lighting problems.I`m not charging them for now.Feel free to PM me your address and I might just send you one FOC.=) -David

I have performed the blindfold drive numerous times and I always use both the SS blindfold and the hood. I put the blindfold on the reporter, then remove it and put on the hood on them. I have received great newspaper and television coverage with this, and it always goes over great.
