Hi guys,
I hear a lot of people on this forum talking about suggestion and cold reading, and I'm interested in learning more about it. I recently purchased Luke Jermay's 'Building Blocks', but am quite sure that the material isn't quite within my reach yet. I've done a couple of searches on the subject of suggestion, but can only seem to find threads about "new forum suggestions". I'm an avid reader, and I would be more than happy to study non magic texts to learn about these topics. Can anyone suggest a couple of good starting points? Cheers, -- Topher |

Have you read "Psychological Subtleties" or any Derren Brown books? 13 Steps?

Some good books on cold reading are
Ian Rowland's Full Facts of Cold Reading Richard Websters' books, such as Quick and Effective Cold Reading. As mentioned by jimtron, Banachek's Psychological Subtleties is a very good book too. It is not strictly cold reading, but talks about a lot of psychological games, mental forces, etc. |

Hi there,
I've read both of Derren's books, 13 Steps, and I'm reading PS at the mo. Thanks for the tips so far. -- Topher |

In case you haven't already come across it, let me suggest the on-line list of cold reading resources that I maintain.
