Ian, I’m on your list for when it arrives.
Two questions: 1) Scenario: I borrow a deck, have it shuffled by spec, then spread it on the floor. I pick up cards, and tell them, red or black! Medium light source. Can I do this with your system under these exact conditions? 2) Have you released this system to close friends to field test it? |

I can do that without the sense of touch! Just turn it over and look at it.

Vernon: Ian is in a better position to answer your question then I. However, he kindly sent me a draft copy of the Sense of Touch MS to try out the methods - yes, a field test. In answer to your question… How about THIS? I went into a newspaper office, but they didn’t have a pack of cards, so we went to the shop a few doors away and the reporter purchased a pack of cards, opened them, spread them out, and simply by running my fingertips across the face of the cards (whether they were in front of me, behind me, under a coat, whatever…) I could tell if they were red or black. Every time. 100%.
Now, just to qualify that, I had to use a bit of imagination to pull off such a stunt. Those who know about S of T will smile. As for the light… medium light, harsh light or pitch darkness – it makes no difference. The pack of cards is still in the newspaper office, and the reporters regularly study them. Every time I walk in I simply pick one up, “scan” it with my fingertips, and declare what colour it is. It’s driving them slowly nuts! |

Any more news on when S of T will be generally available? Can't wait to see a copy...

All this sounds so unbelievably amazing, I can't wait. How long before it's released?
the whole thing sounds too impossible, too good to be true, right? |

Hi Vernonon Coins. I’m not sure why you decided to create this thread, rather than just emailing me. But no matter.
When I publish SOT, I will provide a great deal of info about it on my website for anyone to read before they decide whether or not they want it. Until then, I think to say anymore would be premature. But yes, I have had several people, in the UK and USA, field test it, and I myself have been performing it for about 10 years. As to ’when’, it will be ready when it’s ready. I say this because there’s no point in committing myself to a given date. It would have been published months ago if a certain printing company hadn’t decided to behave in a hugely disappointing way which cost me a lot of money.

I would not encourge people to get this via email. I love E-books and such, like What Bob puts out (he is slowing making me broke). The problem with say a PDF, is people tend to swap them, I have this and I will trade you for that. Not with standing that problem, a good quality scan of a page of SOT would be a major file to email!
Buy the book, you will not regret it. I have been using it for awhile now (just around the house working on it). The other day at a swim meet, I had a chance to pull this off for a crowed of a 75 or more kids and adults. I did it blindfolded, behind the back, under a table and no one could figure it out! This method is really gold! You decide the vaule of this method. Kevin |
