The first use of a Walker in a show really KO'd me. I forget the performer's name but it was a very elderly gent at the Grand Ol' Opry. He was introduced, and entered with a walker, got to center stage and did his medley of hits and was great. Then at the finish, he tossed the walker aside, jumped in the air, clicked his heals together and did vigorous dance offstage. What a great bit.

His name, if I understand you Pete, was Grand Pa Jones. He was famous for that bit. I guess being from Tennessee can have advantages...NOT! Just showing my age!

Age is all based on prospective.

Its maturity that counts.
I've been training these cards since they were small.

I got to meet Louis (Grandpa Jones) in 1990, and he was an amazing gentleman as well as a great performer. He always had time to talk with his fans, and share a story or three. I feel lucky to have met him - he is a true original (and an amazing Banjo player - he popularized frailing)
Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

Actually, I know that Arden James does a spoof of something similar to what we are all talking about with the walker. I am not sure how many have seen it. He usually does it at magic conventions shows and it is a riot. He enters with a walker as an old guy and from the other side comes his older wife with a walker as well (usally Tina Lenert). The music then picks up as a dance number and they break out dancing. It's pretty funny.

However, I have never seen a magic act themed around being old. That could be a pretty funny and creative bit of magic that is certainly thinking outside of the box. =)

Here's one Dave may appreciate. When I was younger and in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee area, visted the "Comedy Barn" if I remember correctly. The magician on stage did a Dancing Plunger. I found it rather funny because he performed it to a MC Hammer spoof of MC Plummer.

It fit very well with his magic and the atmosphere. Made for a great show. I actually have him performing on tape. (Couldn't help myself) And I am pretty sure you're right on the name there, Dave. Sounds right anyways, it was a while ago.

Ok guys, if you are familiar with my Convertible Hot Rod, then guess what comes next? You guessed it, Color Changing Dancing Cane. This is a specialty item that I don't believe everyone will want, but It is pretty cool and comes in an array of beautiful colors. The Cane will change from Black to almost any color you like, within reason. I don't have a demo yet, our friend Ricker is supposed to do a demo. He has a prototype. If he doesn't, then I will do a small little dance with the cane and then the color change. There are No Buttons, No Chemicals, No Sleeves, No recoiling, No Electricity or batteries used! Totally Visual! Keep an eye out for my color changing shoes.

I bet you think I am Crazy? Well I am ....Magic Crazy Ha!
