I recently found this on YouTube. I've seen this video before but thought those who haven't seen it will get a kick out of it. Walter Blaney build this illusion years ago and its a one of a kind.
Enjoy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1Lsdv7kuJs&search=blaney And yes those are real feet the entire time! Best, Tim |

If you do a search on YouTube or Train Sawing you'll also find the Mark Wilson sawing.
I was visiting Walter on April first and he tried to pull an April Fools joke on me but I didn't buy it. Later that evening he was showing me his original blueprint for his sawing illusions. ( Walter has an engineering degree and had done the blueprint himself) I knew it was the only blueprint in existance so I concealed a peice of paper against it that Walter couldn't see. I pretended to study the blueprint and then said......" Y'know it'd be much better if you got rid of this part right here" and then I began tearing a strip of the concealed paper which made an excellent ripping sound. Walter jumped out of his chair in a flash to stop me from destroying it any farther and then realized he had fallen for MY April fools joke. We'll both be laughing about that one for a while. I liked it alot, however it looked like the girl went from being about five feet tall to about 6 1/2 feet tall when she finally laid down in the box.

Hey Johnny, I thought the same. I´m glad it wan´t only me thinking it. Still a very nice variation.

In my opinion, he first has to place the spectator closer to the audience and then open the left top before...
a) the girl sits down and push her feet out (Jazz and Johnny are right) and... b) the girl draws her feet back into the box (the opposite) What bothers me is her knees... But yes; it's a nice variation! Gene Fornby |

Dear My Magician Friends,
I think that Mr. Zaney Blaney’s Sawin a Lady in Half illusion is better than some today’s illusions. Good performance and a brilliant method. Congratulations, Mr. Blaney! Warmest Regards, Saman Zerin |

I love this video and the presentation very much! Yes, maybe to the "trained" eye the girl becomes taller but you know when you just sit back and enjoy it ....it just works! I miss that kind of magic very much!
