A friend of mine has a Scotch and Soda set that he got in 1977. It's in pretty good shape although he cracked the BR. Could it be worth something?

The "scotch and soda" that I'm still using in performance was purchased in around 1976-1977...about the only ways coin sets are more valuable is if they were hand crafted and have documentation signifying that OR if they're all-silver coin sets, which, in 1977, they probably aren't.

Probably not much of a collectors item at this time. They are very common.

Old Scoth n Sodas are great as they tend to loosen up with age and there is no need for the bang ring. I am a big believer in Don Alans's theory of keeping it loose enough to easily shake out with a light tap. Some folks feel it is too risky but after 100's of performances I have NEVER seen it come loose in the hands of a spectator.
