You are a FREAK Steve!! You got it again!! Sorry, no more shells to give away.
But that's the one. Tell me that's not a perfect song for a Harley rally. Great work!! The other Seger song I was thinking of was "Roll Me Away" but he has about a dozen songs that would kill at a show for the Harley crowd. I think he's underrated if you consider his catalog.

Thank you! The honour of being the greatest among those gathered here makes me happy. It is a great song. The hint about Motor City left only three real options, KISS, The Nugent, and The Bob. If I recall the first line is about a chromed three wheeler and later in the song a reference to the dead mans hands, something like 'I'm gonna play those eights and aces'. I also gave serious thought to Johnny Mellencamp cuz of his relationship to that lil' town in that lil' state he is from.

Nice deductions. I thought I get one guess for Ted the Sledge with the Detroit hint, but you nailed it right away!
Fire Lake-Bob Seger Whos gonna ride that chrome three wheeler? Whos gonna make that first mistake? Who wants to wear those gypsy leathers? All the way to fire lake. Who wants to break the news about uncle joe? You remember uncle joe, He was the one afraid to cut the cake. Who wants to tell poor aunt sarah? Joes run off to fire lake. Joes run off to fire lake. Who wants to brave those bronze beauties, Lying in the sun? With their long soft hair falling, Flying as they run. Oh they smile so shy And they flirt so well And they lay you down so fast. Till you look straight up and say Oh lord Am I really here at last! Who wants to play those eights and aces? Who wants a raise? Who needs a stake? Who wants to take that long shot gamble, And head out to fire lake? Head out Who wants to go to fire lake And head out Who wants to go to fire lake Head out Out to fire lake Whos gonna do it That song rocks.

One more clue: The song is called Fire Lake by Bob Seger and was recorded.
Say, while on this here is a sub-trivia question: "Aces and eights are known as 'the dead mans hand', why?". Hint: most of you will know or recognize the name of the individual involved with the reason. Steve V |

Further trivia...it's generally accepted that Hickock's aces & eights were all black, but there's a fair amount of historical dispute about what the fifth card was. Probably the most widely held school of thought about his "kicker" contends that it was the "curse of Scotland" - the 9 of diamonds.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

Or perhaps he only had those four cards at the time.

And yardage Elway gained
And the way they moved the ball They were passin' and runnin' and runnin' and passin' until they scored that TD and Karlis kicked it through the goal. They got the win Yeah, the Broncos got the win The Browns went down and ole Elway got the win.
