Robert,
Almost everytime I've seen your name on a thread, it has to do with the method to an effect. Either you're asking how something's done, or proudly boasting that you know. In one thread, you said, "I know in 99%,how he did it.If anyone wanna know, pls pm me." You've also asked people to PM you about Copperfield's 13 illusion because you were a participant, know the method, and want to discuss it with others. This message board is NOT about discussing methods! So, stop asking! Also, as I told you in another thread, any "Head feel off" illusion you may find is a rip-off. Cyril's effect is based on that of Kawakami Ikuko. She's the woman in the video. Neither are for sale.

Get a copy of Mark Wilson's CCIM. Concentrate of performance, not effects. Become a "Real" magician.

I agree. Focus more on your presentation and skills and people will be more impressed with you.
Trying to learn how something is done, for the sake of knowing the secret, is NOT what the art of magic is about. I hope you figure this out...and soon. |

I second Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. Dariel Fitzkee's "The Trick Brain" gives the workings of every trick ever made. But you have to take the time to read it. And he admits that particular knowledge is the least important part of the art.

Magis, stop being being rude,ok?i am asking things, which I feel are right for me.I would like to perform, head fell off illusion,on my friends b-day,and ur telling me,its not for sale. And the question is,why it is not for sale?
Ps: as far as 13 illusion,i just wanna talk with people who took part at it,as I did. They know secret,as I do,so no mystery here, just wanna share some informations with them. You don't know, what on my mind, some people think different then others.BTW,i know few other secrets of grand illusion, and did you ever see me,telling secret in any of my topics? no. thank you. |

Robert,
I wasn't being rude, but I apologize if you thought so. Maybe the exclamation points were a bit much. However, after looking through you're past posts, fishing for secrets is a recurring theme. That's not what this board is for, and you've been told that many times from other people. It's explicitly stated in the "Café Rules and Etiquette." It was also stated, if I'm not mistaken (it's been awhile since I read it), in the "User Agreement" when you sign up. Still, you continue to ask for someone to tell you how something's done. Quote:
And the question is,why it is not for sale? It has been for sale at several places, but it's without Cyril or Ms. Ikuko's permission. Ms. Ikuko doesn't perform this anymore, but Cyril does. It's somewhat of a signature thing, so I doubt he wants others to do it. Quote:
did you ever see me,telling secret in any of my topics? Not outright in any of the threads. However, as I quoted you above, you're more than willing to discuss things with anyone who PM's you. With your questions answered, I refuse to debate this further. That's also not what this board is for. Best to you.

I hope that this has been a thought provoking thread for all 'secret collectors'

I love this particular trick. I'd love to be able to do it - and I'd be more than willing to pay to learn how to do it --- but if I can't learn it honestly then well, I'll just keep on practicing other stuff. Doing a Down's Palm with a half dollar in stiff old hands is my current challenge.

It doesn't really matter how this is done because its not suitable for a birthday.
The film is shot from a distance and is a stage/tv effect. It look fairly expensive too ! |
