Hi Everyone,
I've Gregory Wilson In Action Vol.1-3. Am thinking of getting his On the Spot and Off the Cuff as well. But is concern whether there is much similarities for the 3 titles? |

On the Spot and Off the Cuff are great. Between those two, the only repeat is Recap, which is a fantastic routine, and you'll gain a lot from seeing both explanations.
I don't have In Action, from from what I understand, it's sort of a "best of" series. So, there are a few repeats, but also there's supposed to be a fair bit of new stuff too. Definitely go for On the Spot and Off the Cuff. Kevin

On the spot is great. I love his coins across routine. And I like the effect "A questionably trick". Quick silver is still a little too much for me, there are some effects in In Action vol 1 that use some of the quick silver phases. Basically broken up the quick silver routine in to a bunch of different effects. So if you have those down then quick silver should not be too much of a problem. His Florida Keys is awesome. Like Leaving home by Sankey but I think it is much better. Recapped is great, although my striking vanish needs work hehe.
I haven't seen off the cuff so I cannot comment on that. But I do have In Action vol 1. Are the other 2 volumes worth it?

Get them both if you can afford it. You will learn different important tips from each DVD. Recap is slightly different in each as well. In Action Vol.1-3 also has a few moves (such as Chip on Shoulder, Pitch and Ditch) but are improved upon according to Greg. There are no card tricks in the other titles. I have all of Wilson's DVD's and I haven't been disappointed with any of them. Greg's the man. |

Very little repeat is on the Wilson in action set. I recommend getting them. As usual it is great real "working" material from Greg Wilson.

After recieving the DVD yesterday, I would like to throw in my recommendation for "Off the Cuff." This is now my new favorite magic DVD. The tricks are great, but more importantly, Gregory Wilson does an excellent job of teaching. He really goes the extra mile in going into meticulous detail about angles, hand positions, sequences, misdirections etc. that really make the tricks amazing. Highly recommended.

I used his spoon bend yesterday for the first time. I was at the restuarant and this girl handed me a spoon, saying, "Can you bend this with your mind?" Well, I don't really do any spoon bending even though I know a couple of techniques in theory. So I played it off and did a couple of other tricks. Eventually I picked up the spoon and did the bit from On The Spot. It worked great. Glad I knew it in a pinch!

I am a big fan of Off the Cuff. I have also had the fortune to see Greg lecture at LVMI and his tapes don't even come close to capturing his energy and excitement!

On the spot is a very good choice.
the routines are excellent, and you'll see G. Wilson doing impromptu magic everywhere. In my opinion one of the most plesant video to watch, real, funny... |

You have to love Greg's attitude and way with the crowd. He takes some pretty basic stuff and makes it really entertaining... Then he brings out the guns and completely blows your mind!!!

If you do street magic, you must buy On the Spot.
The performance of Gregory Wilson is a model of street magicians. |

I love him but it occurred to me that in his later DVD's after "Off the Cuff," he really rushes his patter and moves. Maybe he should slow down a little and the magic will become more magical, not just tricks pulled off really quickly.
But he's great. fib |
