I thought that was very clever. I want to do it. I really do. But I have a confession. I can't do the pulling off the thumb thing.

See, Curtis, it is not that anyone did not notice it, it was that every one was being quiet about it, as we didn't want everyone to know about that hidden present. Which I agree is super awesome. I added it immediately. Shhhhh Hey, Steve Brooks, would you delete Curtis's last post? lol

Hi everyone,
For me the routine I liked the most in PS2 is International Dissolve. I just love Reed's slow and deliberate style. It is my kind of magic. Kainoa's routine was close second though. So Reed when are you gonig to publish the next KB4? Also I would certainly love to see the routines in KB2 perform live or on video. The Ninth Dynasty and Seven the hard way must certainly be seen to be believe. |

Number four is in the works now. As for a DVD is scheduled to release in the future from Magicsmith. This DVD will not have things in Knuckle Buster series. Those we will know more on in January hopefully. I would like to get all of the knuckle Buster routines on to DVDs, and we will. It is just a matter of time.
I can't wait for POS 3. I have seen and heard about the magic on this DVD and I understand it will be the DVD of the millenium. I am sitting here waiting solely for that DVD to come out. There are some tricks I am dying to work on. Why isn't there a drooly smiley? |

Thanks, Reed. I have been doing your CoPro from KB1 for a sometime now. I have changed it a little so I can do it without a table. It is always well received. Can't wait to see your new version in PS3 as well as Mr. Kam's coins routines.

A favorite routine in Palms of Steel 2? Boy, that's a toughie! (As far as routines I can actually do, that's a different story.) I really like Beijing Coins Across.
Hey Curtis, you think you could come up with easier material for the less advanced coin worker, like "Palms of Aluminum"? Or, Reed, how about "Fingerchafers" or "Hangnailcausers"? |

Frankly, I think Darrin's sandbagging us, and is currently doing "Beijing Coins" in his act, just to kill time.
But to anyone who might actually claim "Palms of Tin" you might be interested to know that the material in P3 is way easier. Heck, I even threw in a card trick just to let folks catch their breath. Of course, in order to satisfy my publisher, it is a six phase sandwich routine that requires a good riffle pass and an invisible transfer. So you guys with palms of plastic and below are still in for a workout.

I don't have this particular DVD yet.
After reading your thoughts here. I am adding it to my collection. Which is better 1 or 2?

1 is not a DVD, it was a tape made several years ago. 2 is the DVD we are discussing here.

You should get both, really.
Though you might want to wait. I'm sure the new DVD Palms of Plastic Coated Silicon, that will come with a gaffed hand to make all coin sleights obsolete; will be coming out from MagicSmith very soon. Someone was already trying to unload their used copy of the PoSII on another part of the Magic Café, which I might try to buy, shrink wrap, and sell at an upcoming lecture. |

My favorite? … can't wait for POS3.
Can't wait to pick up the dollar-sized feng shui coins this weekend from MagicSmith (on my way to San Diego) for Beijing coins across (thanks for the tip, Dan.) Now about that goblet - wonder where I can find one, hmmm. Curtis, Kainoa and Reed (I'm thinking of temporarily fusing the gaff with "blue tack", instead of permanently gluing it; it might just work) your stuff rocks!!! |

BenSchwartz Elite user Southern California 499 Posts |
Yes Tony, blue tack does work better because superglue does not bond to metal. One drop of the gaff and it's done until you repair it, but with blue tack or terribly tacky tape or spot of glue (lol) it will hold coins together much better.

Thanks, Ben. I'd hate to permanently fuse the gaff with JB Weld or so.

Will the gaffed hand come in different skin tones?
Will it have the classic palm grip that's been rumored about all over the web? Will the fingers be double jointed? Perhaps the fingertips can light up too!! Are the batteries included? |

Tony, funny you should mention that. The item in question suddenly shattered just as we finished shooting Reed's segment. It held together just long enough to get the routine on tape, as if it knew when its job was done.

Whew, I guess I'll try the blue tack on the gaff then.

Lol… that was funny. It sucked because I could not do the trick till I fixed it. The blue tack idea is good, however in my pocket with all of the other items I am afraid I would get blue tack all over in my pockets. Plus they would come apart more than likely when I go to use it.
I think I will stick to super gluing them. They last for a good two months or so. |

Tony, it seems to me that it would not be all that difficult, even with the simplest of tools and fairly rudimentary skills, to sink two pins in the right places, and have a right proper "James Bond" style gaff for this. The pins would allow the top and bottom coins to pivot. The unit could be carried around (and even stolen) in stack configuration, and then easily spread out before loading.
Seems simple to me. Of course you're talking to a guy who once made a "stack of quarters" with a hand drill and a coping saw.
