I saw greg frewin perforn his rope trick on the worlds greatest magic 1 and he tied a knot, moved it on the rope, and then slid it onto another one. I need a sure way to make the single knot...do I use glue or just let it go

I am not familiar with the magic of Frewin, but there are a few ways to make it appear that a knot is sliding down a rope(when it really isn't), and there are ways to truly slide a knot down a rope. I don't know which type was used by Frewin

Regardless, as I've grown fond of saying, you can find these and many other methods in the new Encyclopedia of Rope Magic. (check out "Joseph Keen's slip knot" and "take it off" )

You will also find some related methods in Fulve's Self Working Rope Magic(look at "Miller's Sliding Knots" and "Slide Off")
