Does anyone currently use this product and if so do you find good success at your shows? I am recieving the product tommorow and adding it into a show Thursday. Is it easy enough to learn in 3 days..?? Thanks

Learning tricks in 3 days and putting them straight into an act is not the mark of a professional.

The trick may be very easy to learn on its own, but it would definitely take longer then three days to come up with an original routine for any trick. As far as that last comment about not being a professional, if you except a show paying or not the people in attendance assume you are so that is why they deserve a professional show

It doesn't always take a long period of time to develop an original routine. Some props and effects don't take a "rocket surgeon" to figure out or perform if you've had any experience with peforming. I've included items in my show without very much time because they were simple and direct routines and other effects like my floating table routine I finally included in a show after about 18 months. Even the latter was only a portion of the full routine because I needed audience feedback.
If you can't answer the question then...hmmm? Again, the question was "Can this routine be added in 3 days or with minimal practice?" If Isaiah is interested I will send him my personal routine for this and you don't even need the original props. My version is a simple 3d version of the trick and the effect is very very fun. 3-d version of tail spin sounds interesting smartini!
Isaiah: If you kind of stick to the routine provided (which is a good one i.m.o. Just not personalised of course. But good to start with for sure.) I think it shouldn't be a problem to get it in your show in 3 days time. |

Smartini I would love to see your version. Please send to me when you have time. I recieved it today and yes I could perform it but for safety reasons I will wait untill I have a good routine that makes sense and a good transition from one trick to the next.

Learning tricks in 3 days and putting them straight into an act is not the mark of a professional. OMG! I would say just the opposite! Three days is more than enough time to put a routine in a show - IF you are a professional and it doesn't take special handling (and most kid’s routines don’t). IF you are a long time pro you have so many ideas and gags running through your head that pulling some of these together around an effect, or the other way around should not be a problem. The show shouldn't showcase a trick anyway, it should showcase YOU! Haven't you heard of "IMPROV" Comedy? I think if they can take a minute and do a good job, a lowly magician that has 72 HOURS should be able to do it! I wouldn't want to say any act was not professional until I saw it - and even then that seems pretty aggressive. Remember, the final judge is not the magicians, it is the audience. |

I used the trick in that show and it went great...the handling is not difficult, the routine is easy...it's fun and if doing it in a show after learning it less than 2 hours is not a mark of a pro then I guess I'm not But the routine went well so how do you explain that? Maybe if it's a complicated trick that requires timing, palming, blocking, switching, sleeving etc...then a magician would need to practice but as far as Tail Spin and What's my job are concerned, these tricks are so easy to perform and don't require a lot of practice. just my opinion so please take no offense from this thanks Wanlu

I personally was not fond of the "red cord tails" which are included with the effect.
I purchased some gray craft foam and cut out tails that looked like Eeyore's (the donkey from Winnie the Pooh) tail. I put a bow on it and all. It also allowed me a MUCH BIGGER tale that ends up on me. http://www.winniethepoohbear.net/showpic......_gif.gif I've always used it with the pin the tail on the donkey patter. But if you recall Eeyore himself had a problem keeping his tail attached. Might inspire some new patter? DeWayne |

I have created a big improvement to Tail Spin which I am trying to sell to Sammy Smith. I feel that there are some problem areas in the trick. For example, the donkey is facing in the opposite direction from the kid who throws the tail. This is not at all logical. In my version the tail visibly lands on the donkey's nose. This requires very little skill to pull off. PM me for more details.

I bought "Wing It" from SPS magic and when I realized that I did not understand the instructions. I called them to find out if they had a demo video on this trick. They told me that they might have a demo video on it some day, and if I really wanted to find out how to do this trick I can go to a Kidabra convention. I still have this useless trick in the bag it came in, and I have no idea what to do with it. If you are anxiously waiting for your trick and you want to know how to do it in the words of Scooby Doo rots of ruck.
