I was reading the Parade magazine insert in the Sunday paper, and this question was posed:
"My husband thinks David Copperfield is the greatest magician. I say it's David Blaine. Who's right?" The response: "Actually, neither of you is right. According to the International Magic Federation Society <okay, I might have that name wrong>, the World's Greatest Magician is Jason Latimer...." It goes on to talk about how he builds a lot of his own illusions, and his background in physics and such. I thought that was interesting. Margarette
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Yes, I read it as well. I think it's crazy. I mean, many people have heard of David Blaine, who's made quite a splash here in the U.S. and some abroad. Of course the name David Copperfield is well known around the world and builds his own illusions as well. If you mentioned Jason Latimer, most people would say "Who?". Yes, he's clever and in the future, maybe. But not right now. I think David Copperfield beats them all. The Parade magazine mentioned Jason making a Lamborghini appear on stage. Well, I saw David Copperfield make an old model car appear on stage, on top of pillars and surrounded by spectators, on the local stage in Dallas. He even climbed up into it and started it up. And it was a finale' to a brilliant mentalism effect he was performing. It took breaths away. There's a couple of videos at 'www.youtube.com' of Jason. While you're there, go ahead and put 'Copperfield' in the search window and be prepared to be truly amazed. David Blaine has some neat stuff as well. Jason is definitely fun to watch, but the greatest, not yet.
